Michael J. Fox: a disabled HERO

Michael J. Fox: a disabled HERO

Today I’d like to bring some awareness to  Michael J. Fox and his battle with Parkinson's.

Michael J. Fox is an actor and philanthropist who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 at the age of 29.

That’s 32 years of living with a disability.

I’m only 7 years into  my own autoimmune problems. So I can’t even imagine! Let's give this man some credit.

Despite his diagnosis, Michael J. Fox has been an advocate for Parkinson's disease research and has raised awareness about the disease through his foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation.

The foundation's mission is to find a cure for Parkinson's disease, and to improve the lives of those living with the disease.

Michael J. Fox has also been a role model for others living with Parkinson's, demonstrating that the disease does not have to define your life.

He continues to act, write, and be an active member of his community.

If you or someone you know is living with Parkinson's disease, know that there is support available.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation website has resources for those living with Parkinson's, as well as information on how to get involved in Parkinson's disease research.

Let's continue to raise awareness and support those living with Parkinson's.

Together, we can work towards finding a cure. #ParkinsonsAwareness #MichaelJFoxFoundation
